Responding to the released discussion, senior legal counsellor Shuaib Shaheen named it "sad," adding that recording a confidential discussion was "a serious offence."

He encouraged CJP Bandial to consider the matter and look for replies from the state. He additionally rebuked the media for broadcasting unsubstantiated sounds.
