One of the world's most established papers still on paper, Austria's Wiener Zeitung, will principally move online after a decision on Thursday by the nation's parliament. The improvement denotes the last move towards a years-long question between the Austrian government and the paper about the fate of the state-claimed everyday. Established in 1703 under the name Wiennerisches Diarium and later renamed Wiener Zeitung in 1780, the previously confidential fortnightly paper was nationalized by Ruler Franz Joseph I of Austria in 1857, turning into the country's true periodical. "It is embraced with a larger part," Norbert Hofer, the third leader of the parliament, said of another regulation to principally move the distribution online from July 1.
